Get ProUse this when a shelf of episodes plays one at a time: free-scroll cards with a Play button that is pressed while it plays, pauses the previous one and tells everyone what is playing.
Derived from this item’s props table, because it declares no controls of its own. This item has no standalone playground, so changes update the code, the share link and the AI prompt.
Use it on a show page or home screen where each card can start playback and only one thing should play at once.
Do not use it as the player itself. Pair it with a persistent player bar that owns the audio and its controls.

| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
episodes | Episode[] | - | Each has an id, title, duration text, summary and a cover node. |
label | string | - | Accessible name of the shelf. |
onPlay | (episode: Episode) => void | - | Called when an episode starts. |
onPause | (episode: Episode) => void | - | Called when the playing episode is paused. |
The pattern ships with a Testing Library test (podcast-episodes-single-play.test.tsx). Embla needs layout to count snaps, and jsdom has none, so the repo's mockCarouselLayout helper gives the viewport and slides real sizes.
