Get ProUse this when a slide should be shareable: the address updates to #slide-3 as you move, opening that address starts on slide 3, and changing the hash moves the carousel, with no history entry per swipe.
Derived from this item’s props table, because it declares no controls of its own. This item has no standalone playground, so changes update the code, the share link and the AI prompt.
Use it for galleries, guides and decks where people paste a link to one slide or come back with the back button.
Do not use it when slide state is private or when you already route slides with your framework's router; use its query params instead.

| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
items | CarouselItem[] | - | The slides: { id, label, content }. |
label | string | - | Accessible name of the carousel. |
prefix | string | slide | The hash is #prefix-n, counting from 1. |
The pattern ships with a Testing Library test (url-hash-deep-link.test.tsx). Embla needs layout to count snaps, and jsdom has none, so the repo's mockCarouselLayout helper gives the viewport and slides real sizes.
