Get ProUse this when people come back to a carousel: it saves the slide you were on in localStorage and returns to it on the next visit without animating, and still works when storage is blocked.
Derived from this item’s props table, because it declares no controls of its own. This item has no standalone playground, so changes update the code, the share link and the AI prompt.
Use it for tutorials, long galleries and reading decks where finding your place again matters more than starting from the top.
Do not use it for marketing carousels, where everyone should see the first slide, or for anything sensitive on a shared device.

| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
items | CarouselItem[] | - | The slides: { id, label, content }. |
label | string | - | Accessible name of the carousel. |
storageKey | string | - | Where the position is kept. Make it specific to the carousel. |
The pattern ships with a Testing Library test (remembered-position.test.tsx). Embla needs layout to count snaps, and jsdom has none, so the repo's mockCarouselLayout helper gives the viewport and slides real sizes.
