A list of items with checkboxes and a category tree select that moves every ticked item into the chosen category and reports how many moved. Use this when people clean up categories in bulk.

When to use it

Use it for catalogue clean-up, support-ticket triage and photo libraries where many items go to one category at once.

Do not use it for a single item (a category field is enough) or when each item needs a different category.

Accessibility

Each row checkbox is named for its item; the header checkbox shows the mixed state and the count is visible.
The target is a combobox that only accepts leaf categories.
The result is announced in a status region ("Moved 2 items to Audio / Headphones.").

Testing

The pattern ships with a Testing Library test (recategorize-items.test.tsx) that covers enabling Move, moving, the path update and the mixed header.
