When to use it

Use this for tables, query results and code blocks where people need the data in another tool in a specific format.

Do not use it for a single format (a plain copy button is simpler) or for secrets, which should not go on the clipboard.

Accessibility

The result is written to a polite role="status" line beside the trigger ("Copied as CSV"), so it is heard even though the menu has closed.
A clipboard failure is reported the same way, not silently ignored.
Formats are functions: nothing is serialised until one is chosen, so large data costs nothing while the menu is closed.
