Use it in a page audit or a docs linter. Pass your own check to go through an API that avoids CORS and rate limits; the default does a HEAD request from the browser.
Do not use it when: you have thousands of links: run the check on a server and show results only.

Progress and the final count go through a status region; the bar has an accessible name; the broken rows are marked by a text badge with the status code, not colour alone. Cancel is a real button.
The pattern ships with a test (broken-link-checker-list.test.tsx). It covers the run, ordering and the re-run button.
