Get ProA combobox for lists of thousands of options that renders only the visible rows, with keyboard scrolling and position/size announcements, using TanStack Virtual.
This item has no props to tune. Use the lens above to change theme, density, direction and more.
Use it for lists of more than a few hundred options that are already in memory (SKUs, cities, currencies). Use ComboboxAsync when the list is on a server.
| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------ | -------------- | ----------------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| items | { value: string; label: string }[] | - | Any number of options. |
| value / defaultValue | string \\ | null | null | Selected value. |
| onValueChange | (value: string \\ | null) => void | - | Runs when the selection changes. |
| rowHeight | number | 32 | Row height in pixels. |
| visibleRows | number | 8 | Rows shown before the list scrolls. |
| placeholder / emptyText | string | see source | Copy. |
| name / disabled | string / boolean | - | Form name and disabled state. |
Rows that are not rendered are not in the accessibility tree, so each rendered option carries aria-posinset and aria-setsize, and screen readers announce 4 of 10000. Moving with the arrow keys scrolls the highlighted row into view.
