Get ProA carousel on the vertical axis with Up and Down keys, side dots and buttons, and a configurable number of slides in view.
This item has no props to tune. Use the lens above to change theme, density, direction and more.
Use it for stacked content in a fixed-height space: top stories, announcements, a changelog strip.
Do not use it for long reading lists. A vertical list that scrolls with the page is easier to use and to share.
| Part | Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
CarouselVertical | items | CarouselItem[] | required | { id, label, content }. |
CarouselVertical | label | string | required | Accessible name of the carousel. |
CarouselVertical | height | string | "18rem" | Height of the viewport. |
CarouselVertical | visible | number | 1 | Slides in view at once. |
CarouselVertical | onIndexChange | (index) => void | - | Called with the snap index when the selection changes. |
CarouselVertical | setApi | (api) => void | - | Receives the Embla API, for controls placed outside the carousel. |
The component ships with a Testing Library test (carousel-vertical.test.tsx). Embla needs layout to count snaps, and jsdom has none, so the repo's mockCarouselLayout helper gives the viewport and slides real sizes in tests.
